Our latest project showcases the beautiful results of combining professional landscaping & hardscaping in West Deptford, NJ, for the Lamparelli family in the Pennfield development. We were thrilled to partner with them to put the finishing touches on their recently updated home. After giving their house a facelift with a new front porch, painted brick, and a modern pergola, they needed a landscape design that would tie everything together and truly make their house a home.

What began as a request for “a little landscaping” quickly evolved into a project that packed a lot of detail and problem-solving into a few small spaces. The result is a complete transformation that is both beautiful and functional.

Visualizing the Final Product with 3-D Imaging

A key part of our process is helping clients visualize the final product before we ever break ground. For the Lamparelli family, we provided a detailed 3-D image that showed exactly how the finished project would look. This powerful tool removes all the guesswork, allowing homeowners to see their new landscape from every angle. It even included a very accurate representation of how the landscape lighting would transform the space at night. This process ensures our clients feel confident in the design and know that the final result will be exactly what they dreamed of.

Our Approach to Landscaping & Hardscaping in West Deptford, NJ

The project presented a few challenges that needed careful planning. A new concrete walkway had created a steep elevation change and potential water runoff issues. Our hardscaping work addressed this head-on. We installed a pop-up drain to effectively manage drainage and built a small boulder wall to raise the grade, creating a much smoother and more attractive transition. To bridge the final gap between the new walkway and the existing front lawn, we installed new sod, ensuring a seamless and healthy lawn.

Finishing Touches: Plantings and Lighting

With the foundational hardscaping in place, we focused on the plantings and lighting. We designed and installed foundation plantings with a mix of evergreens for year-round structure and seasonal plants to add pops of color. A unique feature of this project was a specific boulder we sourced and installed, chosen for its shape and style, to allow for an address plaque to be mounted directly on it. To complete the vision, we installed a landscape lighting package. This included bullet lights to uplight the address boulder and a beautiful columnar evergreen that serves as a focal point, as well as pathway lights to safely illuminate the front walkway after dark.
